About Us

We’re so glad you’re here! Get plugged in!

Here to Shine.

The Learning Light settles in our small town of Dahlonega, Georgia. We reach to connect with families and serve our community.

It’s time to meet our children where they are. God has given your child abilities that we strive to embrace. Every child does not fit a specific standard at a specific age. God did not create us the same, so why are we expecting the same out of every child? Every child deserves to embrace the qualities that God created within them. Our students need to be engaged in creative and critical thinking. At the same time, our students need the social aspect to learn from peers and love one another like the Bible calls us to do. We are a community where collaboration is a priority. Let’s ignite learning through hands-on learning experiences in a nurturing and intimate environment.

Here at The Learning Light, we strive for independent, motivated learners where their curiosity is fueled and their passions kindled.. Students will encounter so much more than the core curriculum. Life skills and a holistic view are engraved in our foundation. Let’s empower our children together!

What is a Learning Pod?

A learning pod is an association of parents who choose the program to support their homeschooling journey! Every child enrolled at The Learning Light is a homeschooler through the state of Georgia. We believe that parents should have choice in their child’s education and be the primary influencer. The Learning Light will provide support to meet the Georgia homeschooling laws. A learning pod allows for smaller class sizes, parent involvement, and individualized learning. Our learning pod will provide instruction in mathematics, reading, language arts, science, and social studies along with biblical teachings. We also offer an enrichment program, family classes, and clubs as part of our community.

The Learning Light offers flexibility!

The Learning Light offers part time and full time options to accommodate your family’s needs! We strive to enhance your homeschooling journey. We partner with parents to provide academic support and a family-like community. Inquire now to schedule an educational consultation. We would love to connect!

A Letter from Katie

Their childhood matters. Now is the time to lay our foundation for our children.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” - Proverbs 22:6.

Their childhood matters. Now is the time to lay our foundation for our children. We must protect our kids until they are equipped to wear their own armor. A strong foundation in the Lord will provide the rock for our children to stand on and face whatever the world throws at them.

Let’s connect! Join our family here at The Learning Light. We cannot wait to set our little lights out to shine.

Hope to see you soon,

Katie Adams
